I originally scoffed at listening to this emo crap and boy was I wrong.  This came out a couple of years ago, but I popped it in the CD player today and it still blows my mind.  It is a concept album that is way over the top and is similar to Queen.  Depressing at times and at others energetic.  Anybody else heard this album?  Excellent from track one to the very end.  HIGHLY recommended.  It's always fun to have no expectations going into something and coming out the other side blown away.

Get this, listen from beginning to end, and see where it took you.

I'm serious.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

Coheed and Cambria, and Kaddisfly are two bands that do it so much better. Beautiful, epic rocky concept albums, minus the whinging.

I just couldn't get into this album, or this band to be fair. Sorry. But i appreciate what you're saying...

I stand by my words.

This album is the real deal.  Trust me.

MCR are unfairly lumped in with all of the other emo crap out there. Yeah, they are emo but they're good!  Still, would be careful about mentioning them in the same sentence as Queen.

All I meant was the album has an operatic feel very similar to Queen's waaay over the top numbers.

I know what you mean, kinda Muse-esque too, i suppose.

Still not my thing though. Although not so long ago they were on Radio 1 over here, and did an awesome cover of Song 2 by Blur.
