Patricia Arquette files for divorce5 hours ago
LOS ANGELES — Patricia Arquette has filed for divorce from her actor-husband. Arquette filed for divorce from Thomas Jane in Los Angeles on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who were married in May 2006, have a 5-year-old daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope Jane. Arquette, the Emmy-winning star of the NBC show "Medium," is seeking custody of their daughter, with visitation rights for Jane. Jane, who appeared in the 2007 film "The Mist" and 2004's "The Punisher," was placed on a year's probation in September after pleading no contest to a drunken driving count in California's Kern County. She is a personal fav. True Romance, Lost Highway. So, no prenup? I wonder how her marriage/divorce to Nicolas Cage worked out? Question being did they have a prenup? That history could have been the template. As with creative types and stewardship of their money, legal protection, e.g. prenups, custody can be a weak area for actors. They are not, as a matter of course, savy in these non creative areas. If I had it to do over I'd like to be an honest, protective manager, accountant, representative to these artistic people. Specializing in the hot female variety.
Just a thought.
