"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

J, I hope you keep adding to your battery of lazy insults to other members of the board.  I think you're funny, and I'm sure your frat house did, too.

Here's another:

11) Must read

I got Underworld by Don DeLillo today. I hope that counts as reading.
I mean, when I actually read it.

Everything I've seen about Australia has led me to believe that it's basically a couple of big cities, a couple of scattered small "towns" and lots of dirt.

Moby Dick?  Are you mad at yourself?  The only thing more painful than that book is reading anything by a Russian author.  I get confused.  All the names are the same.

I used to think "must read" was a requirement but I actually enjoy being intellectually superior.  That way when I talk down to him he doesn't understand what I'm saying.

Deal breaker for me: taking longer to get ready to go out than I do.  And wearing tighty-whiteys.  Ewww!

I wear boxers, but I played sports and wasn't picked on in high school, so that cancels me out (read ENEMY!!!!). And I can't read.

QUOTE:I really think that old saying is true about if you look for it, you won't find it.  More times than not finding "the one"  happens when you least expect it, not when you are actively seeking them out in bars.  At least this rule applies to me that way in the past.

I mostly agree with this post. You can't look, but the more you go out in social settings like bars, concerts, or swinger parties, then your chance of meeting someone significantly rise.

Aren't swinger parties for married people/couples (or singles that want to do the freaky-deeky with couples?) Dunno if that's the best place to find your soulmate. But whatever floats your own, I guess.

Do people with open marriages not love each other and have no moral values?

i kind of see how you might assume that people with an open marriage don't love each other as it's traditionally defined, but the second point is just really telling. how is having sex demonstrating a lack of moral values?
