I think there are a lot of hot Jewish actresses in Hollywood: Scarlett Johansson, Alicia Silverstone, Amanda Bynes, Amanda Peet, Yasmine Bleeth, Jennifer Connelly, Evan Rachel Wood, Winona Ryder, Keri Russell, etc... and that is just a few of them!

No, I was just kidding around, even though most jewish women are ugly in my opinion. My last name is Holberg so I can say anything about jews I want if you catch my drift.

 Disgusting comment.

 Here's another bad-looking Jewish woman.

Poor form, Greg. Regardless of your own heritage, it's tacky to make such a statement in a public forum filled with people that you barely know.

I apologize I had no idea how many beautiful Jewish women there are, thank to Kevin's list. BTW I'm not Jewish, I just have a Jew last name.

That's a good reason to not leech images, I can't see anything.
But I'm guessing it's ironic.

I drove about 500 miles away from where this thread was going

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

What does "leech images" mean?  Lemme guess.  Rather than doing that whole downloading process that takes a lot of time, sometimes it is possible to simply copy-paste an image.  I always do that as a first resort.  Are you saying that "leech images" do not show up on everyone's computer screen?  Right or wrong?

Booth, I always live and learn from you.

That is exactly right. It is leeching because it is sucking bandwidth from someone, and if enough people view the image in question the person in charge might feel inclined to change it into something more "unsightly".

Leeched imaged show up most of the time, but pictures you upload show up all of the time. And the risk of getting goatsed* is reduced by 100%.

*Don't google that.

It's pretty basic, but I'm curious why you say it takes a long time to upload something.

Well, maybe I'm doing it wrong but here's what I do.  First I find the image I want maybe by going onto Safari as a separate window from my usual Firefox. Save the URL code. Then I go up to that tree icon image.  Click. Paste the code into the top line.  Write one meaningless letter to fill in 'image description'.

Then I click on "Insert" which takes me to a new window.  It has a bunch of upload steps.  Eventually it brings me back to the original Insert/edit image window and once again I hit "Insert" and the image goes onto the post.  It's often too large and then I grab the corner and reduce.  Since I can't see the whole image this can take several steps too.

Contrast that too the leech method and it's much longer.

I only figured this out by  trial and error so maybe I'm not doing it efficiently.

That's still leeching.
Find the image you like, right click and save it into a folder*, then click the tree icon, click the icon next to the image url, click browse, find your image, upload, insert.
This process doesn't take more than 20 seconds.

*Have a separate folder for this since it makes it easier to find and delete pictures you don't want to keep.

I've found the upload kind of confusing here too, mainly because for some reason when I try to upload an image something important to this process opens in another window but behind the window I'm working on, and unless I remember that the link I want is in there it looks like It doesn't work and I end up doing it again.  Also, I haven't found the sizing super-intuitive, and I've found myself previewing a message only to realize my photo is huge.  But I'm sure I'll get used to it.   Not complaining, just saying...

What are you saying, Booth? Is the above process 'still leeching?' It's such an unpleasant sounding action.

I'll have to experiment.  Later though. Plus the Mac mouse doesn't have left/right clicks.  Only click.

If you can look at the properties of an image and it says anything other than 2000revue.com you are leeching.
Unless you use an image host, which is not the case here.

Bar

That's how I was doing it.  I still think it's time consuming.

OH.

MY.

GAWD!!!!

Logic, you may just be smarter than Booth!  Who knew?

This could be a dandy new trick to learn even at such a late date in my computer history.  The only other time I use the control key is to find my way out of a frozen screen.

Thank you,

Susan
