Me, I get excited, my sis's are very skeptical, I dont care as long as it is a special member here that swings by, that is A - o.k. with me! just wondering what about ya folks here? if ever we meet besides the tp fest?

half the time i get just a little nervous talking to the checkout guy at the grocery store so yeah i'd get a little strung out. wouldn't stop me from trying though!

i've met up a few times with some members of another board i participate on, and it's always more adrenaline than anything. we've made a vegas trip, a long beach trip, and a new york trip i couldn't attend. and i've met up with individuals when i've passed through their states. my in-real-life friends don't understand it. whatever.

If you tried to have a meetup with Booth, a TV screen would come on and Jigsaw would give you instructions.

I know, right? :) I don't get nervous meeting people I feel I already know; I'm not exactly a social butterfly...I'm just so old hat at meeting friends I've made online than it's more or less like starting a new school year. More curiosity and amusement than anything else.

I usually prefer meeting total stangers at truck stops with a code of toe-tapping outside of a bathroom stall.

I would be nervous. I am always nervous when meeting anyone. I have met a few people that I talked to online and at times was very awkward. I have met some people though that once we opened up we realized that we really were not that different than online, so it was no longer awkward.

I think I would be excited. I don't get nervous at all meeting new people. I probably talk way too much because I get so fired up. I was also in a fraternity in college so I'm used to socializing and meeting new people every 5 seconds and striking up conversation. Plus I seem to have a knack for making people laugh.

I have had to meet a lot of people while helping out with New Orleans when the hurricane hit. I did not have time to be nervous then because sometimes I would meet a couple of hundred people in a day. I enjoy being around people once I really get to know them. But at the same time I am someone who needs a lot of alone time and I am a loner I guess by nature. I mean I can not be around people for a long time and it does not really bother me that much. But I have friends who always have to talk to people and if they are alone for more than a few days without going to some kind of social event they will become depressed.

Initially i get real nervous when i first meet people, but after a couple of minutes i start to unwind. I'm really looking forward to meeting people this year, but i know i'll brick it when i actually get there. I'll probably just run off, Forrest Gump style. Kevin, i'm the same. I absolutely LOVE to socialise; it's what i do most nights. But i too definitely need some alone time quite often or i just lose the plot.
