In your entire life, what was the first person you saw on TV of the opposite gender that really got your motor running and discovering the opposite sex?  Mine was Daisy Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard.  I was less than 10 years old easily.  When she walked out in front of that car in a bikini in the intro, my jaw hit the floor.  I'll hang up and listen.

Bowie. The "Let's Dance" video.

When I was 5 or 6, I used to tell everyone that he was calling me on my Fisher Price plastic toy phone, and I'd pretend to blow him off, then tell them he was always bothering me. This was the closest thing to an imaginary friend I ever had. No one in my family will let me live that down.

That's a funny story, Angel.  I'm sure I said all kinds of stupid stuff like I was going to marry Daisy Duke.

I saw her on tv but it was a movie. When I was 5 I used to watch "Overboard" all the time, not because I thought the kids were funny but because I wanted Goldie Hawn. Too bad she looked really bad last night.

Daisy Duke, yeah, she was pretty sweet.  I'm not sure I can top that.  The mechanic on the original Knight Rider was pretty hot too.  My most embarrassing would probably be Markie Post from Night Court.

Oliva Newton John.  I think I first saw her in Grease.  I don't remember how old I was, but I was very young.  I would watch her in concert every time it was on HBO. Daisy Duke was one as well.  When I was around 11 or 13.  I think it was Ginger Lynn, Nina Hartley and Angela Barron.

...and I'm only serious.  I lied about my age to enter the "Win a Date With Edd 'Kookie' Byrnes" contest sponsored by Teen magazine.  It was a fifth grade crush.  I lost the contest.  He was my ideal at 10.

Linda Carter - Wonder Woman

After seeing her, I knew what was good!

Ben:  "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight.  All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest."

Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

I can't really remember anyone farther back than Alyson Hannigan on Buffy. I gradually became aware of the attraction at roughly the same pace as Willow went from this:

to this:

It's dwindled slightly since she dyed her hair and married Wesley, but that's what reruns are for.

My parents always told me it was Linda Carter, also. Have no memory whatsoever of that though!

MacGuyver.  He was smart and he could fix things.  I love a handyman.

I didn't have a crush on MacGyver, but that was an awesome show.

He also had a great nemesis.  Was it Murdock?  I just remember him surviving exploding buildings, falling off cliffs, etc.

My favorite episode was the one with the flesh eating ants.

Yes!  I loved the Murdock episodes ( I think the actors name was Michael Des Barres).  I also loved Pete his bald boss and Jack the mustached pilot.  And Teri Hatcher was on there some!

I always refer to that actor as the male Tyne Daly.

I was in the middle of something at work and this made me bust out laughing.

PS- I am banning you from using that particular set of canine emoticons

I am so mad at MayRay because I want to watch some serious Macgyver now!

Penelope Pitstop from the old Wacky Races cartoons, but Olivia Newton-John (pre-Grease) was up there too.

Haha, about my Bowie crush. My neighbor friend, a year older, showed me Labyrinth around the same time. And I saw my first codpiece (holy HELL. This is the male version of the WonderBra.) I'm pretty sure those pants jumpstarted puberty for half the girls in America.

Amen to that. Holy shit. My cousin and I would sit there and pause the video during the scene where Hoggle falls at Jareth's feet, and it's this total close-up side view of Jareth's codpiece. We'd be like "OMG WANT". I believe I was 11 at the time. Obviously already a chronic masturbator... :P
