So, they gave Jimmy Fallon a late night talk show.

He might be the most talentless piece of shit ever to hit SNL!  That is saying a lot, considering the extremely un-funny cast they've had for the past 5 years or so.  His movies were even worse.  How did this guy get his break in comedy?  I suppose it's who you know!  If your unfamiliar with his work on SNL, he's the one who laughed in every skit he was in.  What a dork!  Forgive me for my rant- I felt like venting!

Come back Will Ferrel!!!

Ben:  "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight.  All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest."

Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

I remember he came out with some crappy music CD.  How can you make songs trying to be funny and they aren't?

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

It was consistently funny from about 1982 to the late 90's.  Except for the season they had Anthony Michael Hall and Robert Downey JR.  But, that year they also had Randy Quaid.

it's not that dana carvey is the funniest guy on there, but when carvey is present you can't go wrong

shit look at this era, just look at it:

Jon Lovitz ( 1985 - 1990 )
A. Whitney Brown ( 1985 - 1991 )
Dennis Miller ( 1985 - 1991 )
Jan Hooks ( 1986 - 1991 )
Victoria Jackson ( 1986 - 1992 )
Dana Carvey ( 1986 - 1993 )
Phil Hartman ( 1986 - 1994 )
Kevin Nealon ( 1986 - 1995 )
Ben Stiller ( 1988 - 1989 )
Mike Myers ( 1988 - 1995 )
Chris Rock ( 1990 - 1993 )
Rob Schneider ( 1990 - 1994 )
Julia Sweeney ( 1990 - 1994 )
Chris Farley ( 1990 - 1995 )
Adam Sandler ( 1990 - 1995 )
David Spade ( 1990 - 1996 )
Beth Cahill ( 1991 - 1992 )
Siobhan Fallon ( 1991 - 1992 )
Robert Smigel ( 1991 - 1993 )

not every one of these people were amazing, but a lot of them were. and i'd like to point out that the mike meyers featured here is from back when he actually gave a crap, not the shameful shithead haunting our movie screens today. of course the musical guests were boring and the show always runs a half hour too long but god there was a lot to love back then. unfrozen caveman lawyer....

OOPS

There have only been a few years sprinkled here and there, when the show actually sucked.  It seems like since Ferrel left the show has been getting worse and worse.

You are right Myers movies blow dog!

I've seen a few episodes recently and they've been pretty funny.  Way better than a couple of years ago.

edit- caught a bit of Fallon last night.  couldn't get through the monologue even.  He looks scared up there, and like he's about to apologize for wasting our time.  It was pretty bad.

I was flippin' the channels last night and stumbled upon this. Cameron Diaz was the guest and looked like an Olsen twin (read ugly and having a diet consisting of one Skittle daily).  Fallon seemed nervous trying to get his footing.

I don't remember if I saw that particular episode.  Fallon seemed nervous in all the skits and laughing at the other actors.  He flubbed his lines up in every skit he was in as well.  The lint in my bellybutton has more comedic talent then that hack!
