What do you think are the worst songs of all time?  I'll begin.

Was (Not Was) - Walk the Dinosaur

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

I feel like I am singlehandedly responsible for the dumbing down of this fine message board.

Thanks Nefud for sticking it in my head (proceed with mock, Booth)

I may have bad taste.  I love Holy Diver.  It is so cartoonishly over the top it rocks.

We Built This City on Rock and Roll.  Vh1 proclaimed it the worst song ever and I must say that I agree.

Some others that come to mind- Heartbeat/Don Johnson, My Girl Wants to Party All The Time/Eddie Murphy.  Actors, stick to what you know.

I have to agree with you, Holy Diver is a classic!  All Dio's songs are over the top.  He gets a pass, because he has such a powerful voice.

Worse song ever:  Pac-Man Fever - Buckner & Garcia or Hangin' Tough - New kids on the Block

Ben:  "We've laid in a gala reception for your fair-haired boys tonight.  All of Twin Peaks' best and brightest."

Jerry: "We're holding it in a phone booth?"

Hmmm, well if you consider Dinosaur the worst song, then, yeah!!! It's far from their best song, but... (I got to hear them perform in it a small club in Seattle last summer).  A great book about bad (or depressing)songs is I Hate Myself & I Want To Die.   How about "Least Favorite Song of All Time", to remove the make it more subjective?

Sisqo - "Thong Song" is a chuffing dreadful song. It makes me want to heatbutt things.

Juxtaposed with "Thong Song" by Kyuss which is one of the best songs ever.

Well, it's questionable whether you could call this a song.  But I remember hearing as a teenager this recording called They're Coming To Take Me Away, by Napolean XIV.  It was a rhythmic spoken word thing, with some drums (if I remember correctly), and freaky sounds and screaming and some guy talking about the crazy things he did to make the men in white coats come and get him.  It was horrible.  It weirded me out.  I couldn't figure out why anyone would want to record such a thing.  I'd turn the radio off if it came on.  I heard it for the first time in thirty-some years a few months ago, and I still had the same reaction.  Bad ju-ju.

"I'm talking about seeing beyond fear, Roger.  About looking at the world with love."
