redbear, I was cracking up when I stumbled upon the Seattle Sounders first soccer game in the Seahawks stadium the other night on TV.

They said it was sold out LOL, but only the lower bowl was available for tickets (30,000 were there).

The entire crowd looked like it got lost on the way to Bonnaroo or a Phish show.  I wondered if any TPG people were there, but I realized people on here don't like sports which is fine.

It really did look like something out of the twilight zone, hippies wearing jerseys and scarves, etc.

Really? Bonnerroo or Phish?  I can't see that. I mean I'm sure that it was pure coincidence that the crowd of guys in Sounders gear that walked the store on game day were followed closely by a cloud of pot smoke.  Or what I might guess was a cloud of pot smoke but can't be sure of since I have no experience with it myself.

For the record  I like sports just fine. It is all the attendant bullshit that seems to be an inseparable part of sport in our society (New York Red Bulls anyone?) that I don't like. I could go on and on about it but I doubt you or anyone else here really wants to hear it.

The Sounders, Storm, Thunderbirds and Rat City Roller Girls are all fine by me.  The Seahawks and the Mariners can, as far as I'm concerned, follow the Sonics to OKC.  Other people feel differently and I can respect that, just don't ask me to pay for it. Oooops,  too late.
