I've seen ZARDOZ too... Don't worry, you're not alone in your pain...

Ah, TROLL 2... "You don't piss on hospitality!"... I heard so much about it on the internet, seeing vids from a scene from the film everywhere, that I couldn't resist seeing it... IMO that's not a BAD film, it's inept yet very funny; a bad movie is both stupid and boring. For example, I enjoy the silliness of many Ed Wood flicks, but I was terribly bored with GLEN OR GLENDA...

HIGHLANDER II is bad in every possible way... But hey, at least Virginia Madsen is on it...

The first thing that comes to my mind is The Matrix.  The original is a classic and the next two absolutely sucked.  They should have just left it at the original, but you know what happens when there is potential money to be made.

the first matrix is terrible, you're terrible for liking it, hth

Nightmare 3: Dream Warriors is my fave! Patricia Arquette's first film, an Angelo B. score & that crazy scene with Dick Cavett & Zsa Zsa Gabor?! Come on, what's not to love here?!  I have a friend who's campaigning now to be the new Freddy. Yes, they're bringin' it back!!!

It is a lot more entertaining than the original, I think. Even if Freddy started joking around at this point.

And your friend (this him?) is a little late, they've just cast Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children, Watchmen).

No, my buddy is Jerry Lloyd (I was in a film with him).  Freddy was jokey from the first film. When the phone licks Nancy & he says :"I'm your boyfriend now!!!"...

Good God, that movie is just...unforgivable. It actually makes Superman III (the one with Richard Pryor) seem okay by comparison.

You sure are right, Mr. Bloody!!  I thought III totally blew dog, until IV came out.  Superman II is still the best as far as I'm Concerned.

Superman II, still one of the best comic-book movies of all time. It's got a few WTF!?!? moments though. Like this:

(That Superman III robot scene is hilarious and disturbing on several levels)

 Yeah, that was really cheezy!!

There were some cheesy moments, but then again.....it was the 80's.

Hah, I didn't remember the "throwing the S" thing from SUPERMAN II... Just look at the bad guy's face, "what the hell was that?".

The cheesiest moment I remember from SUPERMAN III is Richard Pryor skiing from a building to the street wearing a ridiculous cape... And yes, I had nightmares with the robot woman too...

What I don't like about the Superman films (& TV show) is that they never do any of the wild supernatural characters from the comics. Why not Brainiac, Mr. Mxyzptlyk, Solomon Grundy, or OF COURSE--- BIZARRO?! It's always that stupid baldy Lex Luthor...

So true. Even when they try to tackle one of those characters on "Smallville" they usually screw it up (they did a pretty good job with Brainiac, though). If you want to see those villains handled properly check out the animated series from the 90's. Great stuff, every bit as good as the animated Batman series, IMO.

I can totally see Alvin eating green goo instead of weenies... Later in the film it would be revealed that he ate Sissy Spacek's kid after turning him into a braunschweiger (that's why she hates it so much) and that he's going to see his brother to devour him looking at the stars...

Next Friday and Friday after Next.  Friday is such a classic, and the next two are such hollow empty self-parodies.

I haven't seen Clerks 2, but I'm guessing it falls in this same category.

I liked Clerks 2. Think he did a Night of The Living Dead kinda thing by making it color & moving it to a more open locale. The "Porch Monkey For Life" thing still cracks me up...

I actually think Clerks 2 is Kevin Smith's best film. It's a beautiful bookend to the whole ViewAskewniverse.

Gremlins 2.  I did not like it at all.  I would like to see another Gremlins movie, like Gremlins in the hood or something like that.
