you have to be hot, everything else is details. women are a lot shallower than men, contrary to a lot of myths in pop culture (beauty and the beast, every woody allen movie, etc)

I must have more faith in women than you do. How are they shallower? I thought it was guys who just want a hot chick and that's all the requirements needed. But then again, like many things, I could be wrong.

women are shallower because they care more about the way a man dresses and presents himself. a man would fuck a homeless girl dressed in goodwill clothes if she was hot let me put it a different way: you're not going to get a girl hotter than yourself, that's the Big Lie. take a good long look in the mirror and figure out the ballpark you're in. once you're 100% certain of what you deserve, go out and get it (this is where that confidence thing comes from)

I agree with your first assessment and I guess the second although I'm not quite sure I figure this out because it is from MY perspective.
You are shattering my naive view of putting women on a pedestal. So if I wear name brand shoes and they are new, chicks will dig it? But if I look like Brad Pitt and wear Birkenstocks, they won't give me the time of day?

Is it normal to exhibit feelings of jealousy when your girlfriend talks about ex-boyfriends or is talking in person with any man if said man is attractive regardless of the circumstance? Is this common or should you just let it go and say ignorance is bliss or is this a trait we cannot help having as chest-pounding men?

imo there's a man gland hardwired into us that makes us a little edgy when our wives/girlfriend get a little flirty with someone else. i'm also convinced this is the same gland that makes me want to HULK SMASH when someone has disrespected or purposely hurt my significant other
