They didn't know child abuse was illegal or psychologically harmful.

That is just sad.  I don't understand some things about the church like why many Christians make a big deal at of Harry Potter Books and gay marriage while totally sweeping stuff like this under the rug.  I remember a few years back when Priest were being questioned on CNN, a christian man actually said to me that they are trying to make Christians look bad.  Huh?  If you are screwing kids you should look bad it does not matter if you are a Christian or not.

I abused my own daughter, young little Annie. When she was only four years old I took for the first time. That's probably why she turned out to be such a slut. She killed herself. Now she's in suicide hell, for all I know. Sad. :-(
