I'm pretty sure No. 5 is Polanski's The Tenant, looking down at where the previous tenant landed after jumping out of the window.

No, but I was expecting that answer. Roddy McDowall is in both movies.

Picture #3 scares the hell out of me and #7 reminds me of The Godfather.

#7 is Halloween. I have a feeling I'm going to be tracking down each and every one of Booth's films when he posts the titles. Obscure shots from recent(ish) movies! 1. Paris, je t'aime - Tuileries (Boogle)
2. Michael Clayton (Rigpa)
3. I'm Not There (Booth)

4. The Fountain (Booth)
5. Synecdoche, New York (Booth)
6. Crimes and Misdemeanors (Rigpa)

Don't think I've seen any of your choices LogicHat, but I'm guessing 5 is Synecdoche, NY.

Don't know if it's cheating but I googled the phrase and number 1 is The Coen brothers segment from Paris, je t'aime.

I've added the beginning letters of the first ten movies as "hints". Unhelpful as they may be.

#9 is Lord Love a Duck. (imdb) 13 appears rather Fellini-esque to me, so I'm gonna guess La Strada.

13 is not by Fellini and it was released 11 years after La Strada.

Booth, knowing your tastes I'm going to venture No. 4 is Possession. Just a guess.

That's a pretty good guess. Also a little surprised that no one has guessed 14 yet, I thought that was pretty well known.

LogicHat, it seems like such an obvious guess I haven't made it, but No. 3 reminds me of Emma Thompson appearing as an angel in Angels in America.

Nope, sorry. Plus that was technically Made-for-TV. Booth, your 14 looks like a shot from a Tool video, or a scene in Being John Malkovich. Is the whole film in that marionette style?

| The Tool comparison is not uncommon, but it's Tool videos that look like 14, not the other way around. The whole short is that way except for the first 90 seconds or so.

1 is the same type of shot as in 4. The person in the middle of the picture is about to get murdered. 2 the man on the bike is a Bergman regular. 3 the V is a female name (not entire title) 6 is a Kaspar Hauser like story. 8 shares an actress with 4. 10 is also the name of a hit song from the mid 80s.

Booth, is No. 8 Barocco? And for No. 10, how about Eyes Without A Face?
