I'll be watching all the coverage, Rebel, since I was there for the real deal. Maybe I can get some better evidence than this old television news video that I lifted from a videotape paused on still frame with a film camera back during the 20th anniversary.  Purple crocheted top with gold hip-hugger bell bottoms.  Usually I was pretty close to stage center.

Speaking of Woodstock I read an article the other day about a singer named Bert Sommer who performed on the first day of the festival.  It was a sad omission that he completely left out of all coverage of the event that made many other artist's careers.  Everyone thought he was going to be a huge star.  (or so the article said)  But oddly enough, I have no recollection of him singing.  They said it was right before sunset.  And he sang ten songs, one of them being Paul Simon's "America."  I promise I do remember the 60s but just not Bert Sommer.  Anyone else ever hear of him?

Here's a link .  Not bad.  Sort of Tim Buckley-esque.  But I still don't remember him.  What was I doing just before sunset on August 15, 1969....?????

Missed the show, Reb but I just received a new photo.  This one is from an Australian guy who did film of Richie Haven's performance.  He sent me this still frame today.  Kinda fuzzy but it was fun to see.  I sent a copy to my ex-boyfriend who stands behind me in the photo.
