I was sweeping the kitchen floor & yepper there was a tarantula thar in my kitchen. put it in an empty container & let it go down the street. haven't seen those in a good while. just got to mention I did get one, a gift from my twin sis years ago, it was in a clear plastic box with a red ribbon.  wild gift!

NO JOKE! I am guessin that it was oklahoma tarantula, they might be hunting mates & also thrive on small insects, or mice. I almost had a heart attack when I seen it in my home, but calmed down & let it go. near a field, the only spiders I hate are the most venomous ones, black widow, brown recluse.

Sorry hun, I we´re ever going to meet, it wont be in Texas

Have you ever considered that they can come into your bedroom at night??!!!

That's very impressive, Reb.  I would have caught it, but I wouldn't have known what to do with such a big spider afterwards.

I've never confronted a tarantula in person before, but I'd probably run away. There was a bat inside my house one time, and it was just hanging in the hallway all day long. That was scary.

the broom came in handy, a bit difficult, my hand as well had to gently guide it  in the plastic container, those creatures jumps too!

was gonna let it go outback, my neighbors pasture. but it was too dark, so I took it to another field where it was well lit. cause I didn't want to get it pissed as it probably was when I caught it. I am guessin it came from the garage, through the laundry room & made itself at home in the kitchen.

Don't Knock Off The State Of Texas because of wild creatures/critters. I can be a wild creature here as well as one member posted from one of the Texas  Toadies Fan on utube that had mentioned about our state here

My pet Zebra tarantula was the most boring critter I ever had! It only came out of its log to eat crickets.

It wasn't too fond of people (some of them like to cuddle) so cage-cleaning time was always interesting.

Glad you were able to save it, Reb. Real women come from TX!
