"I'm a lonesome schoolboy, & I just got into town. I heard so much about London that I decided to check it out."
The above lyrics are NOT from Cocksucker Blues, which is TECHNICALLY a Jagger solo. There IS a band version, but the classic is the spare acoustic guitar demo which he infamously played to a nagging London Records exec to dissuade them from pressuring the Stones for new material. Yeah, it worked. "Where can I get get my cock sucked? Where can I get my ass fucked? I ain't got no money, but I know where to put it every time."

one suave folk, ok so i looked and looked and im still mystified after all these months. the above lyrics are most definitely available in a song called "cocksucker blues". exhibit A: http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1288938323/ref=sr_gnr_aps?ie=UTF8&search-alias=aps&field-keywords=cocksucker%20blues#%2Fref%3Dsr_pg_2%3Frh%3Di%253Aaps%252Ck%253Acocksucker%2Bblues%26page%3D2%26keywords%3Dcocksucker%2Bblues%26ie%3DUTF8%26qid%3D1288938399&enc=1 thats a lot of versions of a song that is called cocksucker blues thats attributed to the stones, and yeah the jagger solo is ok once he gets going, but how does that rule out exhibit B: http://www.allmusic.com/album/cocksucker-blues-r382967 which is awesome early seventies stones stripped down blues. i call foul. present your case for my wrongness. i double dare you.

Absolutely right, think of one. (I see now I gave away the title in my enjoyment of typing out the lyrics!)
Now you "think of one" and give us some lyrics to guess Who Sang It? |
I had some trouble coming up with one. Wondering what you'll make of this. I was young and carefree Not a song had found my soul |
I'll provide you with an answer to get things going again. It's the vocal version of Duke Ellington's Sound of Love from the Charles Mingus album Changes Two. The superior instrumental version is on Changes One. Here's an easy one for all film fans on the board: "Freude, schöner Götterfunken, Tochter aus Elysium; Wir betreten, feuertrunken, Himmlische, dein Heiligtum!"

The film fans clue leads me to believe this is from Beethoven's 9th, the Ode to Joy. Good old Ludwig Van. So here's one from another Kubrick film:
"You ever toss and turn you're lying awake and thinking about the one you love? I don't think so."
"I'm talking about seeing beyond fear, Roger. About looking at the world with love."
