...on tonight's Emmy Show.  OHMYGAWD, is this awkward or what?  Is anyone else watching this trainwreck?

Was there another writers' strike that I didn't hear about?

Oh well, it's a brand new day -- Curb Your Enthusiasm starts anew in less than an hour.

Did we watch the same Emmy broadcast? I thought he was fine.

Having Curb back for another season is nice, and doubly so since the first episode was so good.
Except for that screaming match, which is the worst aspect of the show.

The new season of Peep Show had a good first episode too.

I guess a lot of people liked NPH, Amanda.  I was shocked.  Flabbergasted, I tell you, when I started reading the first reactions.  I will say that I was not giving the show my full attention since I didn't know most of the television shows up for awards.  But it seemed to me that there was a lackluster reaction to every joke attempt and that he was getting uncomfortable as it went forward.

I only watched/listened to about 40 minutes worth before David grabbed the remote and switched back to football.

Maybe I'm just disgruntled that there is no Sopranos any longer.  Sigh.

Hey, if football's so great, how come there's no football awards show?! HUH?! Hell, we could even make it a contest between the American kind & the type the rest of the world plays!!!

It's too difficult to put on formal wear with all that gear.

I watched some of the emmys. I thought Neil Patrick Harris wasn't that bad.  i think I just don't have very high expectations.  The highlight for me was seeing the PBS/BBC miniseries Little Dorritt win some awards.  For whatever reason it really captivated me when I saw it, and it was nice to see it compare favorably to the big budget productions from HBO, etc.
