Hi Bryan! I'm afraid that without the error message you received, we won't be of much help to you in terms of solving your specific issue. Your issue could be caused by a missing codec, a lack of DVD playback software, a hardware conflict, etc. If the disc is encoded for a region other than the one your DVD drive is set for, that can also cause an issue. If you can supply us with the error, and let us know what type of computer (Windows, Linux, Mac) you're running and possibly even the software you're trying to play the DVD with, we should be able to sort this out quickly! :)

I think i use windows the name of the dvd part is cyberlink powerdvd dx. Here is the error message i get Dvd Region Error Unable to play this dvd because it does not match the region code of your disc player. Please insert a disc created for your region or change the region code of your disc player. And than it gives 2 options. Keep Dvd drive's region code and than change dvd drive's region code. That's all it sais? Now what happens if you try and change the dvd drive's region code? Or is there a way you can leave it the same and still play dvd's? Thanks.

If you try to change the drive's region code, you can only do this five times before you are permanently locked into one specific region code...and it will unfortunately be whatever the region code was set at the fifth time you changed it. So you'll want to tread lightly with this option. Me personally, I would either buy a new region-free (Region 0) DVD drive, which you can search the web for, or I would flash the firmware of the DVD drive to be region-free. Those are the only two surefire ways you're going to be able to play that DVD in your computer repeatedly. Or perhaps just re-purchase the DVD in the correct region. What region are you in, by the way? And where is the DVD that you're trying to play from?
