Not really about a favourite, but more of a question. Driving into work yesterday the guy driving had the local country station on and a christmas song with the line "Merry Christmas From Texas Y'all" came on. Now not being from these parts, in fact not even close, but from across the pond, can someone tell me if they know of this song?

the band must be asleep at the wheel. I saw that band awhile back at Billy Bobs, they are purty good! swingin country music, more like from the band Bob Wills and The Texas Playboys.

Each year I run across several crazy Christmas albums & usually make a mix. The best this year are new ones by El Vez & Aqua Teen Hunger Force (best is Meatwad & Neko Case doing Santa Left A Booger in My Stocking).  Other   past faves include albums by The Vandals (featuring the immortal MY First Christmas as a woman) & last years's Little Steven comp Christmas A Go Go (Likely the best rockin' disc ever). Sting's latest "winter" album is very tasty & the DVD concert was done at Durham Cathedral, where my 12-year-old choirboy butt once sang (in '68)!!!  Can't go wrong with Countdown to Christmas. Andy Partridge did a version with XTC, but I prefer his longer, funkier, solo demo... & I always end 12 Days of Christmas with : "Andy Partridge was in XTC!!!"

This is a Bing cover! I love it, too.

Can't miss with Elvis' Blue Christmas.

Last Christmas- WHAM!

I love the Swingin' Christmas channel on AccuHolidays

www.accuradio.com/holidays/

There is something for everyone, Reggae, Celtic, Hannukah, New Year's themed, Rock, R&B, Pop, Country, Gospel, Classic, Jazz, Smooth Jazz, and all manner of eclectiv seasonal music!

And can I just go on the record and say Feliz Navidad makes me want to eat a bullet? Thanks

It's called irony, OSF. You like it more if the genre makes you gag. This is by the same guy who wrote "50 Cent is a P*ssy" as acoustic folk comedy
