My show is Celebrity Rehab. They had one series on sex addiction which was to me uninteresting. But The ones on drug rehab I watch.

Currently on the TV is a Celeb Rehab about drugs/alcohol. So most of the "celebs" are withrawn physically ( 12 days ) when this former Miss Teenage America joins late high  just starting to come off methedrine. Like they showed others cleaning up earlier she is touchy and does not dig the group. So, MacKenzie Phillips who is clean 8 months ( why is she there in the first place ?)
really comes off like she is the administrator or a doctor and she bugs the new kicking girl instead of laying off for at least a couple days. Mac really plays the actress to the hilt and I don't like her attitude and overacting. Now, Mac has the group against the new girl.

Anyway, that is my trash "reality" show. You can see Mac in the last couple episodes replayed on VH1 often. two weeks ago forward.

Anyone else admit to watching any "Reality" shows ? Come on....it's no big deal.

Breaks my heart but I too am watching Celebrity Rehab.  Hollywood burns and kills.

Do you agree that 'Doctor' Mack is acting to the hilt and could have given that girl Kari Ann a couple days and just lay off her instead of jumping into her case on the first day the kid is there just starting her physical withdrawal? I mean everyone else ,except Tom Sizemore, are all 12 days clean and sober and they have all had counseling for awhile ?

Dr. Drew should have told Mac to lay off for a couple days. Do you agree Susan ? When Sizemore checked in late they let him sleep for 2 days, but they throw this kid into the group right after check in.

I don't really know from rehab, Raymond, but I like MacKenzie Philips.  The episode where she put her dog to sleep broke my heart and I was sniffling along with her.  And I thought the Miss Teenage America was a brat.  As for the future of sobriety in any of that group... Heidi Fleiss seems the most promising.  Or the country singer.  Tom Sizemore's girlfriend is a trainwreck. 

Whadda mess though.  : (  I love Dr. Drew.  He's so brave and so optimistic in the face of so many shattered lives.  

I'm not sure if I'll watch another season.  The reason I turned it on in the first place was listening to Howard Stern's interview with Drew Pinsky on Sirius radio a couple months ago.  I generally back away from sloshing through this depth of personal wreckage.  I need all the reserves I can get and these shows are taxing.

I like Dr. Drew too. Eh, so we don't see Mack in the same light. I too reacted to the dog, by the way. I just don't get an 8 month sober person in with the 0 days sober people mostly. And yes that young girl is a brat for sure and a sick young woman, but Dr. Raymond would have given her a couple days to kick that crap first like the others got before criticising her. 

I would like to open a not for profit Rehab center, hire qualified staff and help some people. I know that because I don't have a genetic predisposition to addiction and no serious early childhood issues I and alot of other folks could have become addicts.

How did you know it was Raymond and not a new person oldraymond?

In California it's pretty easy to open a rehab center since this silly state passed that silly law a few years back.  Can't remember which proposition it was but the gist of the matter was that drug addict convicted of drug crimes could opt for rehab instead of jail time.  Then there were suddenly a slew of rehab centers that opened all over which upset many in residential neighborhoods who didn't want them in their backyards.  And most addicts stayed addicts.  I recall Martin Sheen taking a surprisingly hardcore view of the issue and being against the proposition saying that jail was the ONLY thing that worked for his son.   Seems like many of the celebrity rehab folks have done both jail and rehab time.

Thanks for the reality check. That's right. So many alcoholic/addicts turn for care after they commit crimes and become criminals. That would be too much to deal with. You could easily get some bad actors in your house.

Oh well, I'm going back again to my real estate job. Susan, you might want to skip tonite's episode. The coming attractions look extremely unpleasant-like the worst episode yet. I will have the remote handy to bail.

Sober House is long over and i suspect a 'sex' addiction series next and that doesn't interest me.

However, for that 'celebrity in trouble' type series which does interest me.

Right know I'm on Nancy I forget her last name : a great seedy, escort marries this john for his assets :They have the tapes and messages of her, and her other true love and the cop.Beautiful. First the wife newlywed wants to put the husband in prison long time with a heavy drug plant set up on the mark. Then she hires an undercover cop to off the mark. This woman is a danger in society. An A plus documentary for a good detailed case with plenty of hidden cameras with sound. on HLN Nancy Grace ( guest host) today. Please, if you see it check it out.

 Alexis Nieieieers, in contrast to the sicko escort above, looks pretty -that word-darn shallow end of the pool. A brat who got cought up in the Bling ring down near Susan's neck of the woods. On the real 'news' today-- this kid Alexis pleads to 6 months county jail, and three years of felony probation. 
She starts her stint ( nice alliteration Ray) ah.. oh yeah.. the kid goes to jail on June 24th. Will she get the overcrowded 2 hour treatment? or do about 28 days like Paris did ? what do you think?

The only reality shows i watched since May were 1) catching up on The Jersey Shore which I liked 2) Kardasian Family -I identify with Bruce Jenner 3) A couple Gene Simmons reality episodes. 

Dr. Drew is back with a new crew for Celebrity Rehab. The usual fare which is fine with me. Janice Dickerson checks in.

For two weeks now Celebrity Rehab has done double doses . Maybe they want to run this incantation through fast ?  and yet i watch......

As for the Kardashians , Bruce Jenner and I are both ready to bore you with our 80s stories .

Yep, I'm watching Celebrity Rehab.  My son is working with Eric Roberts on a new film so I was curious to see him.  He seems the least messed up but the rest of this batch are mostly very unlikable.  The Davis kid is a brat.  

But my new fave show - Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  Camille is the worst!  Loved last night's episode with "I'm a famous psychic" Allison Dubois or whatever her name was.

Re. Cel Rehab, I remember Eric Roberts was very good in a movie I saw, but I forget the name of the movie. Some of these people have been using for decades. Yes, Eric dropped the deadly stuff and has just used pot for a long time ( at the time of the series). I would imagine he had no physical withdrawal but the unresolved early trauma is where his healing will come.

I saw 10 minutes of Housewives of New York and found those ladies offputting. Perhaps Beverly Hills presents better actors ? 

Jersey Shore is over,

my only reality shows now are on HGTV. House Hunters, Designed to Sell.

The effect has been to redesign the ole apartment for the best functioning set up. Pays off everyday. I now accomplish apartment life with less wasted moves and messes.

And the staging, tie ins with color, additions and subtractions look good as i look around. i have received good opinions and tips from my two designers. 

Now however i find I stopped my twice daily tanning sessions. missed the gym today, and dang i got laundry piling up.

There is a new Celebrity Rehab out. They actually have a true filmstar, I forget her name but she was in Bladerunner. Then a juicer roid abuser. Creepy guy. Then there is an asshat making a return from a couple years ago, Name? He has long hair and is really goofy and a douchy ex musician, i think.

Then Amy the girl who shot Mrs. Buttafucco is there. We had previously made a loan with the Buttafuccos back then and I happened to met them at the office one day. Seemed like nice folks, but I am too easy on assuming someone is OK. And Linsay Lohan's father is on. One of my nephews knew Mr.Lohan way back in the day. So, Long Island is what 5 million people? but things tend to be 1 or 2 degrees of seperation there.

Bai Ling is also there. that poor woman has really had a rough life and is in delicate condition. A shame. Anyway that is some of the crew this time.

Gossip sites have the guy driven to it by his wife. The intrusive pressure of the series, money problems and a secret gay lover are also proffered.

The Kardashians score and score again. They are a money machine based on like zero talent -out of nothing millions and millions. Unbelievable.
