I really hate exercising, but I think that is because I am in such bad shape.  Although, this Sat I am going to start P90X and give it a shot.  I do like walking on some of the machines at the gym.

I've been trying to find a good, healthy diet that will cooperate with my work-out routine, which is mainly simple crunches, squats, push-ups, and laps at the moment.

I had been eating alot, picking up the dumbells for some maintanence and resistance here and there. then i was out of shape and for a week or so did the crosscountry skiinglike machine with resistance high, the lat pulldown machine, walk/jog. calisthenics, shadow boxing. and then last thursday I took a rest pause now in it's 5 th day. the reason ( excuse) is i am working now full time.

I have observed little kids playing and am going to copy some of their eclectic moves and full on kinetic output super workouts. One thing they do is make free wheeling obstacle courses for themselves running jumping climbing without pause, until they pause.
Then my revolutionary fitness DVD "Are you able to outperform a 6 year old ? The Challenge. " will be out next Fall. I will hire an actor to front the pitch and yes some adult female athletes/models and some accessory apparati- sold seperately.
Buy my DvD and apparati and get in youthful shape. Try my product.

Just sorta hanging about the gym, running machines, a bit of weights (nothing major, just to keep myself in shape) and a bit of outdoor running. Like a bit of occasional boxing training, no sparring like

Well I'm ill with cold at the moment (just got out of hospital a couple of wks ago ) so I'm still taking it easy, however, I now live on Campus, half an hour walk away from my uni.  So rather than being lazy and getting a taxi/campus bus, I walk the 30 minutes there and back every day to gradually get fit.  I also belong to the Uni Trampoline Squad which I LOVE!  It's so fun and good for you!  My Doctor recently told me he had no problem with me continuing it because it releases endorphines (feel good hormones) in your brain which cheers you up!

Long story short sorry.. squad recently competed and I came 17th, which I thought was bad then I realised it was out of 37 so I got about halfway, which the coach said is good for first competition! :)  We practice twice a week for 2 hours (do aerobic warm ups first) and also I've recently joined the University gym, which I love. VERY state of the art I haven't used it yet because the machines/technology is SO new it actually calculates everything for you!  That and I'm a little daunted about going alone and worried I'f end up breaking a machine! (and it cost £100 to join so it better be worth it!) but when I shake this bug and it gets warmer I'm planning on going often! :)  Just easy work though like the treadmills and cycling/step machines.  Think I'll stay away from weights/rowing machines!  Don't wanna look like a man, just toned enough to get rid of this hideous woman pot-bellied fat I seem to be developing since Christmas.

"watch out for my cousin.."

Yep, I've started an exercise program and I'm doing excellent with it. I'm on week 3 of my program. Once I get tired of what I'm doing, then I plan to do P90X. Right now, I'm doing Turbo Jam, and it's definitely a workout.

Ok , I've layed off exercise for a week or more, while my food intake remains more reasonable.

So, i am turning to a tool i have. In the trunk of my car is a custom sized leather jumprope with felt handles that house great ball bearings for pro type action. Tomorrow i will unleash the pound burning gizmo. It has been about 8 years in storage.

Wow, you guys are doing real challenging work outs. Good going !

superducky, when you start P90X let me know what you think about the Yoga work out.  That one has been the toughest for me so far.  The Cardio X has been the easiest.  I am on day five and people have already noticed changes.  And physically I feel 100 percent better.

Reb, i have moved the jumprope to under my car seat-getting closer to using it. I did some pushups, situps and an exercise machine deal yesterday . I have friends from Florida here and tomorrow i  will do the wine/winery tour thing with them around Napa. Then hang out Monday and Tuesday i crack out the jumprope no excuses.

reminds me to do a lil more than just the Sun salutation -or it's called something like that-everyday.

I have flirted with yoga since around the time my son was born ( thats a ah long time :), There was a Na Masti yoga woman that did a daily TV show. At one time i had a little booklet on Hatha Yogurt. That has been the blueprint for a perhaps checkered or slackerly use of the technique.

I received the wine sacrament earlier today. Aren't you glad i didn't use the 'elbow excercise' bit?

I'm saving some Silver Oaks wine for ya !

I had some erands to do here where i live this afternoon, left the winos on their own to stay again at the Meritage near Napa tonite. And i am taking the whole day off ,again, from any exercising. A couple days pause to break the cycle I say. After lunch tomorrow at Boca Steak and Seafood in Ignacio i will return to the lighter on food, more movement routine.

I will search for the Jailhouse wine and send you a bottle ! I go on these wine tasting deals 3-4 times a year. I know very little about wine and only go to hang with my wino friends who are really into being wine connoisseurs. At least the girls seem to be well versed. I know that your fellow mod Amanda knows the subject well going by her posts and is a great source for wine information. Do you agree Amanda ?

So, the steakhouse lunch is over and tomorrow i hit the jump rope !!

4 hours later

The healthy three days of red wines and kicking back should have me preloaded and ready to slap grass or concrete with that  jump rope tomorrow.

 : Reb. Were you joking about  what  I thought was some sophisticed wine brand ? Now, the name 'jailhouse ' did seem...  um... strange for a top shelf bottle of wine !  But the name thing was for me a pink not a red flag dig ? Until about 15 minutes ago. I bet Jailhouse is like a modern day version of 'Mad Dog " MD20. Drank it once with an erudite, socialite girl ;

The rope jumping didn't work out well at all. Maybe the grass was a little long  but i kept landing on the rope. I will try again next week on concrete.Yeah, that must be it. The grass was the problem.

I lift weights 2-3 times a week, runs 1-2 times a week and boxes on saturday. So yeah, I guess I'm pretty much into exercise these days. I also did a lot of yoga a while back, but it doesn't really do it for me anymore. I need my adrenalin rushes as the ones I get from running and boxing.

Anyone here who's seriously into weight lifting?
