I like Sidney's Candy, Rebel. Lookin' Lucky seems to be the favorite. I am never right on horse races though. I just hope all the horses make it through the race without injuries. Susan

Back in the day I was a regular at Belmont, Aqueduct and back then Roosevelt Raceway ( infamous for it's Monday night 'boatraces') for the trotters. I was often a railbird positioned near the finish wire. I saw two horses breakdown in the later stretch. It was sad knowing you have a broken delicate while powerful leg and that the horse would have to be euthanized. The thoroughbreds are special speed and endurance bred racers. Beautiful animals. If I was in New York and not at the track i would maybe hang at the OTB parlor and do some local race bets too. I will have to check out the two area T bred tracks we have here in the Bay area - fresh air, optimism and in game mode too. Anyway guys I have yet to get The Racing Form for the big race and have not handicapped it yet. For me the Kentucky Derby is the real summer kickoff, instead of memorial day. My mind switches to summer mode.

OK. The track is wet and muddy. # 2 Ice Box trained by Nick Zito, Nick has been there before.

Coming in to place behind Super Saver is my # 2 Ice Box @ about 18--1 odds on the morning line. Down to 10--1 as late money got on board. A win/place/show ticket on Ice Box would have been nice.

Maintaining a perfect average of always being wrong on horse races, my horse came in 17th out of 20! Woo hoo! Remember those teachers who said if you got every answer wrong on a T/F test, they'd give you an A anyway?
