For those of you who remember, where were you when you heard John Lennon had been shot? I was a time buyer at an ad agency on Lexington Ave. & 52nd St. at the time. I was in my office on the seventh floor, just a little over a mile away, 20 blocks up, 3 over & through the park to the Dakota. From the moment I heard, and for the rest of the day, I had high-powered salesmen coming in to my office, collapsing into a chair & into tears. Mad Men (& Women) became Sad Men that day...

The new Rolling Stone has a never before published loooong interview with John, conducted only 3 days before his demise. 30 years... wow.

I was in bed watching Monday Night Football when Howard Cossell broke the news. I remember going into my parents room to tell my dad what happened.
