Am I the only person who's seen TETRO and thought it was great?!

I've been meaning to see Tetro, Exy, so thanks for the reminder!  Just put it on hold at my library.  But I wanted to say I LOVED Youth Without Youth...I'm a sucker for a metaphysical story line, and have long been an admirer of Mircea Eliade.

I loved the first reel of "Youth Without Youth" but as it progressed I lost interest and was let down by the slow inevitable ending.

"Tetro" is the exact opposite, it takes a moment to acclimatise to the Buenos Aires locale but very quickly gets into it's stride, grips you and never let's go.  I look forward to hearing your reaction to it.

I thoroughly enjoyed it, Exy.  I had just seen The Red Shoes about a month ago, so was primed to see the homages Coppola pays to that film in Tetro.  I love how the dances appear in the movie, the sumptuous color in the middle of the black & white, how the ballets act as metaphors for Tetro's/Bennie's play.  Just gorgeous--especially the ballet of the car accident.  Great performances all around.  Thanks for the suggestion!
