Since I finally got around to watching Zombieland, I've been on a bit of a Woody Harrelson kick. The bad news is that it led me to watch Semi-Pro. But the good news is that it also led me to watch Defendor. I thought it was a nice risk they took by setting this story in a fairly real and grounded world. There was some actual weight to the events of the story, since this isn't a context in which people can fly or have "real" superpowers. Some people seemed to dislike the straddling of the drama/comedy line, but that didn't bother me. Very tricky character to play, without going too dark on one side or too cartoony on the other, and I think Woody hit it pretty well.
It looks a little Canadian from time to time, probably due to actually being Canadian. But at least that gave Elias Koteas a job, which I'm in favor of.
Has anyone else on earth seen it?

Nope, not seen it, but I like the sound of it. I feel compelled to watch any Elias Koteas film, probably due to my Exotica obsession...

If you're on a Woody kick then I can't recommend Paul Schrader's The Walker highly enough.
