Got to see REM way back in July of 1984 at the Playpen in Wildwood, New Jersey. I remember I was on the beach with my family and a girl came up and said "REM is at the Playpen tonight." I have no idea why they were in Wildwood, but it was fun seeing them in a small venue, although the band didn't seem that into it. And, yeah Rebs, they did "Driver 8." I found the playlist online: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/rem/1984/the-playpen-wildwood-nj-23d6f03f.html

went through aittlr phase of listening to them when I was younger... (my brother had all their albums) can't say I was ever deeply passionate about them though... or particularly bothered that they've split up !!!!!!
