Just watched the original movie version of the, at the time, quite scandalous Peyton Place, which was turned into a groundbreaking prime time soap in the early '60s (with a very young Ryan O'Neal & Mia Farrow). Peaks has been compared to Place. Anyhow, the movie stars Russ Tamblyn playing a teen who's likely been sexually abused by his mother & Blue Velvet's Hope Lange, a teen who's raped & impregnated by her stepfather (sorry for the spoilers). Also viewed The Diary of Anne Frank, which features a teen Richard Beymer as the title character's shy, cat loving love interest...

After watching a Frankenstein movie triple bill, I was inspired to start work on The Secret Diary of Anne Frankenstein, about an adult Annie who goes on to re-animate corpses to get vengeance on the Nazis...

Ahh, like in that Arnie movie, The Respirator? | Hmm, no. Guess you're jokin' & mean Terminator... but I was actually serious. With all the classic lit/monster mashups goin' on, why not one that's factually based? I'm also reading a book of her non-diary writing now. Trivia fact: 20-year-old Audrey Hepburn was considered for the film, but instead they cast the younger model Millie Perkins, a near dead ringer for A.H.!

Yes, it was meant as a joke, and perhaps in bad taste. It's so easy to write down every brain fart that arises uncensored while online.

Put Albie's disembodied brain in as a sidekick and call it The Secret Diary of Anne Frankeinstein.
