If he finished A.I. in time, before he passed on

It would have been even better

I'm sure

Is it up to me alone to answer? If you can't afford something like

Netflix, and you like films you can't afford, but you still got intrest, yeah well... It is worth seeing even if you don't

care about Kubrick, but if cash is low, just steal it...

if you are not smooth enough, check out the local city libraries for tapes...

whereever you are the library has free tapes to lend. No shit...

If your in the south U S skip dr. strangelove and seek out a copy of Sherman's March, much more overlooked, and more entertaining, Yo.

It's a dead heat between Dr. Strangelove and The Shining for me.

Next come: Eyes Wide Shut (yes, I may well be the only person who loved it!), A Clockwork Orange, Full Metal Jacket and 2001.

Lolita, Barry Lyndon and Spartacus left me a bit cold and wondering what all the fuss was about.

I know I've watched The Killing - I just don't remember too much about it.

Not seen Paths of Glory so can't comment on it.

A remake of A Clockwork Orange? That could be done in an interesting way, with the right director, but most likely it would get a horrible cast and be ruined with a million MTV-style edits. Let's hope it never happens.

My Kube Top 5
1) Tie - Strangelove/2001 in Cinemascope (on regular TV, it's #2)
3) Barry Lyndon
4) Lolita
5) Eyes Wide Shut

OT: If you like Strangelove, check out The Loved One, co-written by Terry Southern, it's an excellent 60's black comedy.

I'm a bit late, but here are my top 5 Kubrick films:

1. Barry Lyndon

2. The Shining

3. Lolita

4. Paths Of Glory

5. Eyes Wide Shut

I'd say without a doubt Kubrick is the greatest American filmmaker in cinema history (after Lynch of course).

Has anybody been to the Kubirck archives museum? I saw it when it was in Melbourne last year, had some fascinating stuff.

Say NO to Ghostwood
