I recently came across one of the funniest sites I've seen on the Internet in a long time: http://www.jesusneverexisted.com/. The angry letters from various Christians, all telling the moderator of the website he is going to "burn in hell", alone make the site worth visiting. GDC

Well, freedom of religion...
I have many different tasks, but the one that most interests me is the study of UFO's.

Oh dear. Even I wouldn't have posted that in my "rebel" days.
I notice it's insulting not only Christians but Jews also.. Oh dear.

Maddy, over at the political forum we long ago became accustomed to Gavin's great lengthy term papers railing against Christians and Jews. it's hard to take him too seriously. Somewhere along the line I think he suffered at the hands of a sadistic clergyman/woman, but who really knows? A lotta pent up rage.
I've always imagined Gavin is majoring in Judeo-Christian Debunking Studies at a top tier university somewhere in America, but I can't be certain. Susan

Oh I see! LOL, that makes a bit more sense. I rarely read the political forum anymore unless there's something interesting about British politics on there which isn't very often. If I was a bit more knowledgable about American Politics I would, but I tried that and got too lost so I quit reading because I didn't want to offend anybody and I know my views on THAT matter probably would so What on Earth do Politics have to do with Religion anyway? I suppose quite a lot to some, but that makes no sense to me....

There are many ways of knowing things. I think we all accept that or we wouldn't be such huge David Lynch fans. Empirical knowledge is one way but it is a poor way. Empirical knowledge changes all the time when new evidence comes to light. Faith is another way of knowing things. Faith and empirism aren't exclusive; they can be as complimentary as the person who carrises the knowledge. I believe that Jesus exists. Note the present tense here. As for rage- all emotions, including negative emotions are fueled by stories we tell ourselves. That Jesus never existed is just another story people tell themselves. I guess there are people who like the rage.

I recently found the following website, which is a really very clever satirical sendup of Christian/religious websites. I don't know who produces it, but they certainly put alot of work into it it, although some of the material is rather risque: http://www.landoverbaptist.org/ A popup unfortunately came up when I accessed this site, but otherwise it seems legitimate. Perhaps it's a very well known site among more experienced web-ites and other internet shut-ins.

Very funny, or inspirational, depending on your point of view, video clip from a 1980's Christian show describing the "He-Man" cartoon as form of "Satanism". I found it at You Tube at the following URL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZjC1vw2nSY It can also be found using a keyword search for "He-Man", "Satan", "Skeletor", or "Saturday Morning Cartoons".

Or you could try this one instead: www.religioustolerance.org
My theory by A. Elk, brackets, Miss, brackets. This theory goes as follows and begins now. All brontosauruses are thin at one end, much much thicker in the middle, and then thin again at the far end. That is my theory, it is mine, and it belongs to me, and I own it, and what it is, too. Ange's Odyssey
