How many of these have you bought?  Or read?  These are only a handful of the books sold in bookstores but the numbers are surprisingly small,  when compared to the numbers of viewers of King Kong or Desperate Housewives.  Oh well. Seems like a hard way to get rich, doesn't it?  I doubt that any author gets more than a buck a book, do they? I was surprised by these numbers!  Wonder how many books JD Rowlings sells.  She has got to be the champ.

Anyway, I bought four of them -- the ones in red.  I'd have to be blind-folded, gagged and under the influence to buy a copy of America's Lamest Brain, Dr. Phil.  Isn't Jim Henson dead?  Who are John Grogan and James Cramer????  I have Martha's very first cookbook, but I think this one is a bio.  Haven't even noticed it.

What did you think of the Joan Didion, Susan?  I've been on the edge of buying it for a month or more now...

I've bought both Alan Alda and Jim Henson. Jim Henson's book was actually compiled by his daughter Cheryl. It's called It's Not Easy Being Green (surprise). Got it for my mum for Christmas.

I'm with you on Dr. Phil, Susan. I think I'd rather eat my own body parts than buy anything that man puts out. He's a scourge.

I've read McCourt's book Angela's Ashes, and thought it was good.  It is definitely not one that i will consider reading again, as I do some books that I really enjoy.

My loving mother was kind enough to give me a copy of Dr. Phil's book for my birthday, which I promptly returned for credit.  I'm surprised there's so many biographies.  Where's the Da Vinci Code rank?
