I also liked the one with the flukeworm in the sewers. I enjoy the monster of the week episodes more than the alien, government conspiracy ones. Maybe it's just me. I love when the text flashes at the bottom of the screen, the moody music and dreadful atmosphere of most eps that are filled with 90s paranoia and angst. I even liked the Millennium TV series. Frank Black is one bad MF'er. I never saw The Lone Gunmen spinoff series. David Duchovny is very intelligent and has a charismatic dry wit about him. Gillian Anderson is not your typical screen babe, but I find her attractive and wonder if the carpet matches the drapes. This show bears rewatching if you are in the mood for a good escapist thriller which often times makes you think.

I don't know why, but that made me really happy.
I thought "Millennium" was great, too. It's too bad it didn't last longer. I think it would have done better in today's Post-"Lost" TV environment. As far as the moody atmosphere of The X-Files is concerned, that was always one of my favorite things about the show. A lot of that was a side benefit of the show's filming in Vancouver. So many of the show's exteriors are overcast and/or rainy and it really adds to the creepy factor. Starting with Season 5 (I think) the show moved production to LA to accomadate David Duchovny's demands and you can really see the difference. The mood of the show really took a hit, IMO.

I watched the episode Signs and Wonders last night. There was a pastor who held a mouse over his mouth. A snake proceeded to come out of his mouth, eat the snake, and return to the inside of his mouth/body. No explanation, theory, nothing.
