I don't feel that the fact they had a service for Harvey Dent means he's necessarily dead...

He'll come back as a ghost called TranscenDent in the third move.

Thinking ahead to a Lynch-helmed sequel, Booth?

My first thought when I saw the movie was that the eulogy was just a cover-up, but people are insisting that he's not breathing there on the ground. But then people were also insisting that Ra's would come back using a Lazarus Pit, so... The screenplay stage directions say Dent's neck is broken, but they could've always decided to make things vague in the finished film. But I don't know what they would do with the character after this.

Loved the Dark Knight and love Christian Bale, but I wanted to point out something that a couple of work buddies and myself have all thought and grated on our nerves.  Why in the heck does Christian Bale talk in that stupid, raspy growl when he is dressed as Batman?  Bale is an awesome actor, but this comes across as hamming it up and being over the top cheesy.

"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just let it happen. Could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot, black coffee. Like this."  -Dale Cooper

It's meant to intimidate, and to disguise his voice to people who might recognize "Hey, isn't that billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne telling me to 'swear to him'?" But you're right, I thought it was too much in certain parts of Begins, and it didn't get any better here.

The batsuit should have one of those mechanical larynxes installed, then he could run around yelling exterminate and creeping the shit out of every villain in Gotham City. Though it might impede his crime fighting, what with the inability to climb stairs and all that.

I just saw it at the Imax last night, this will give some idea exactly how far behind the curve I operate.  I have to say there is and will always be only one Joker; Cesar Romero!

Just kidding, Ledger was great, perfectly nuts. The movie, as a whole, was great.

Spoilers (duh) since I'm sure I can't be the last one

The only two things I had a problem with were 1)The idea that someone could just fly a C130 over Hong Kong without getting blown out of the sky, minor thing, suspend disbelief, disbelief suspended.

2)Bigger; Michael Cain as Alfred.  Meh, didn't really like the interpretation.

I guess this was the second, is the first movie of this team worth seeing on the little screen?

P.S.; Flipped a coin (one of the new dollars) on my way out and caught it between my fingers, essentially it came up 'edge,' which is just perfect for me.

I'd say "yes", though it might be a tad bit of a let down after seeing TDK in IMAX.
