He's just not that into you.

I would blame the divorce rate on men in the birthing room.  Once they see that, they might not want to go back in.  I think men should be smoking in the waiting room the way Desi Arnaz intended.  I don't even want to see a birth.  AAAAAAHHHH!

I don't want to see a birth and I also pretend that women do not poop.

The live birth they show you in middle school sex ed scarred me for life. How can a woman do that? More than once? And then tell me genital piercings are aberrant?

I just want this day to be like something magical out of a fairy tale.  I have dreamed of this moment since I exited the womb.  I will be your knight in shining armor coming for your emotional rescue.

QUOTE:I always think about personal sacrifices and free time I would be giving up by getting married.  Is that selfish and greedy or just something you have to somewhat compromise to live with another?

Hmmm, it´s funny. I´ve heard about this fear so many times and I don´t really get it.

Marriage doesn´t mean that now you have to stay home every friday night and that you can´t see the lads anymore. Marriage doesn´t change things like that. If you two were good before then I don´t see a reason for your wife to start changing into a monstrous leech.

What changes is when you get children.

Yeah but no but yeah but no but....

I need lots of free time to play xbox live, and women will try to infringe on my personal time. So I told her to leave 2 weeks ago, and you know what she says to me right before she slams the door? "You better hope I'm not pregnant." What a bitch, I will always love my 360 more than any woman.

  • Speaking of standards,  I really only have a few:. Obviously you shouldn't be with someone if you aren't attracted to them, don't have good sexual chemistry and conversation with them, or don't have complementary emotional stability.

And I don't care about the kind of car he drives, his clothes, or money at all, or if he can't cook ('cuz I won't be doing that, either.)  But I do have a few deal-breakers. Except for one cat person, who also wanted kids, I've never had to (or wanted to date) anyone who:

1) likes football

2) plays video games

3) snores

4) has/wants cats or children

This thread is interesting LOL.  I think it depends on who you marry as far as personal freedom goes.  I know people who have gotten married and they give each other a lot of personal space and freedom.  Those couples also seem to be more happy.  But I have seen other people become married and it is like visiting a slave.  I have seen this with both males and females.

A guy who does not like video games or football? That's like trying to find a chick who does not like Oprah or Lifetime movies.

Agreed.  I guess my dealbreakers should be women who -

wear makeup

like fashion,clothes, shoes, etc.

have periods

Haha. No, I was a bad influence on the cheerleaders.

I've never had a female friend that likes Oprah or Lifetime (or Oxygen, or whatever,) and none of my guy friends are into football, or talk about video games (some of them have consoles, though.)  I know, it's not typical.

Seriously. I've never had to rule anyone out over those things. I guess I've just gotten lucky. When I find myself in a bar or at a party where there are a bunch of meatheads and bimbos (sheeple,) I seek greener pastures.

i'd say it's more like "doesn't like oprah or music"

i mean one is a pretty specific "gender thing" (oprahor football) and one is an entire medium of entertainment (video games/music)

prrrrrretty discerning criteria!

oh oh oh i see, you're fine with a guy who enjoys video games, just as long as it's not one of his "main things"

i get it now, i thought you were completely insane for like 2 minutes

Video games are still geared mainly toward men.  I worked at a game store. The majority of customers were male.  If I worked at a record store, the clientele would be evenly mixed.

I can't think of one guy I've ever dated, certainly no one I've lived with, that even owned a video game. Freaky, huh?  ** I said some of my guy friends played them- not my boyfriends-- just never while I was around **

EDIT: I take that back. There was one, but we only lasted a few months.

Have I posted Quit Playing Video Games and Get Laid before?

they're getting a little better but i'd basically agree with this

99% of them are very goal-oriented, and contain a lot of material that's fodder for the male gaze (to put it as politely as possible)

i have no idea why world of warcraft seems to be able to get regular players of male and female and everything in between
